Description of resource

We found these great lessons to help children understand and deal with this crisis. they were developed in Australia because of the bush fires but they are SO relevant to what our children are going through. Use them if you are in school teaching children or with some adaptations use them for ZOOM or Microsoft Teams online lessons. I'm going to try them with a Y6 ZOOM class after Easter.

Description of resource

This theme aims to develop and revisit four of the key social and emotional aspects of learning covered in previous themes, through a focus on bullying – what it is; how it feels; why people bully; how we can prevent and respond to it; and how children can use their social, emotional and behavioural skills to tackle this crucial problem. The four aspects of learning in which knowledge, skills and understanding are developed are self-awareness, empathy, managing feelings and social skills. For Wales, Welsh medium.
