A new report from the Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) provides evidence that some common assumptions about what works in promoting wellbeing and preventing mental health difficulties may in fact be based on myths, or partial myths.

For example, it finds that there is little evidence that awareness-raising about mental health in schools  actually increases the chances that students will seek help if they need it.

The SEAL Community’s Jean Gross summarised the implications for schools in the Tes here and also in an EIF blog.
