Croesyceiliog Secondary School in Torfaen are using this 90 minute leson with all pupils when they first touch base again as schools re-open. Thank you so much for sharing. As well as the lesson for pupils there are two presentations for staff : one on how they can support pupil wellbeing on the return to school  and one on how they can look after their own wellbeing.

We created these assemblies, drawing on ideas from Rhiannon Phillips-Bianco , a class teacher in the British School in the Netherlands, and from our own recent ZOOM SEAL lessons with children..

We found these great lessons to help children understand and deal with this crisis. they were developed in Australia because of the bush fires but they are SO relevant to what our children are going through. Use them if you are in school teaching children or with some adaptations use them for ZOOM or Microsoft Teams online lessons. I'm going to try them with a Y6 ZOOM class after Easter.

In this study, a team of experienced school advisors used a semi‐structured observation and interview protocol to rate various aspects of the implementation of SEAL in 49 primary and secondary schools. A total of 2242 pupils in 29 of these schools completed measures of social experiences and school ethos. School‐level attainment and attendance statistics were collated for all participating schools.
